In the early 1980s we met a kind elderly woman whose skin was amazingly fresh and smooth in spite of her age, because she had made and used her own creams from the essence of sunflower stems. This phenomenon made biological pharmaceuticals interested in the cream and carried out thorough laboratory testing on it. The results of these tests convinced even the company’s experienced researchers, and they immediately began to develop a cosmetic product line based on sunflower stem extract.
Success followed! By the mid-eighties the product line had expanded to more than thirty products and several million boxes of cream were being sold each year. A couple years later, the cream even became a sought-after product on the American market.
The change of political system and ownership of Helia-D has worn the brand, but the cream has never disappeared from the shelves, thanks to the undeniably affective and long-lasting active ingredients, sophisticated appearance and loyal customer, despite the lack of promotion support. It has completely retained its significant market share in the Hungarian face cream market.
In 2004, a Hungarian investment group decided to not allow Helia-D to disappear and help it back on its rightful place. Today, Helia-D is successfully combines its heritage with the results of the latest researches, developing and producing high quality face, body and hair care products.
